MAR: SOUK SOUND Gypsy Swing vs Cumbia Ting Following on from our intimate and astounding performances from Estas and Storia last month, we have another acoustic band this month that promises to get you shaking and swinging on the dancefloor. The Trio Manouche, grace us with their blend of Gypsy Swing, two of the hottest sounds around town. Born from the big band sound of The Bright Size Gypsies, their larger incarnation, this trio of double bass, guitars and vocals, effortlessly mix the swing sounds of the 40's with traditional Roma gypsy mayhem! DJ's on the night will be the inimitable Russ Jones, The Hackney Globe Trotter himself, will be on hand to mix up some scorching hot Cumbias, and bring a Latin vibe to the floor, via Hackney of course..
